Larry’s background is well rooted in the green goods industry. His parents owned Fransen’s Nursery and Garden Store where Larry worked during his school years. Attending Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota, he studied Horticulture and Landscape Architecture. Due to his parents illness he left school and returned to run the family business until it was sold.
Larry then formed a commercial and investment real estate firm and a business consulting firm which he ran until he purchased the real estate on Highway 7 April 2009. He then, with the support of his family, formed the Red Oak Garden Center & Landscaping.
